Best place in Canada to find love: Toronto

Movinga, a professional relocation service in Europe, has come out with a fascinating list of the best cities to find love. They did a LOT of reasearch and looked at the top 100 highly in demand cities to find out criteria including percentage of single people, divorce marriage ratio, male to female ratio of singles, age of singles, LGBT+ Free to Love, social opportunities, romantic city, online dating, what men and women want, cost of a date, and sex-positive score. They got this data from census data, a poll with 6000 members from InterNations, a global expatriate community, and online polls as well as other sources. You can find the study here but basically, the results are that Toronto was the highest scoring Canadian city, ranking 24th, above Montreal and Vancouver. Miami, Paris, Gothenburg, London, and New York were the top five.

Apparently, 25% of expats actually move because of love or family, the top reason after career. They say “While it’s true that you can find love anywhere, in this day and age of data and information, there are some locations where you are statistically more or less likely to find love… At Movinga, we’ve studied this carefully as we do believe that location has an impact on your love life depending on who you are or where you’re moving to”.
