Out & About in Toronto: The Hogtown Vegan
The IPPC report on climate change says we only have 12 years left to reduce our carbon output or we risk the fate of the planet. One easy way to do that for regular Canadians is to reduce the amount of meat we eat. Now, I am married to a Korean man who loves his barbecue so I know how unappealing the idea is for some. But wait! I’ve found an amazing place! The Hogtown Vegan is a fun 50’s style diner with a great staff, and wait ’til you hear their southern combo: chicken with housemade smokey bbq sauce, buttery collard greens and mac ‘n’ cheese. All vegan. Come on. New favourite restaurant. Apparently, their breakfasts are amazing too. As an added bonus we save the planet!
