Out and About in Toronto: George Street Diner
Driving my daughter downtown to her apprenticeship after her weekends at home, I noticed a charming little diner where the patio was always packed. We decided to give it a try and absolutely loved it! Run by Irish Owner Ash Farrelly, the food is all very comforting and the vegetarian options are amazing. I ordered the vegetarian Irish breakfast with mushroom, eggs, freshly baked soda bread, beans, and tomato and an amazing cup of Irish Breakfast tea. My eldest son ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage, onion, pepper, tomato, cheese, and scrambled egg, wrapped in a flour tortilla. My daughter ordered the french toast made with challah loaf, organic free-run eggs, cinnamon and sugar, organic maple syrup and fruit. This all sounds amazing, doesn’t it? I’m hungry now as I think of the plain yoghurt breakfast I had this morning. My little one keeps asking if we can go back to the place with the banana chocolate pancakes.
