With boarders still closed and camps cancelled, Torontonians are looking at a return to old school summers. Many are realising they need more green space than the crowded city parks offer. As we head into our fourth month of quarantine, we are all going a little stir crazy. One option that many are turning to is cottage country.
A combination of a low number of listings and a lot more buyers has turned cottage country into one of the province’s hottest market. Cottages in the big demand areas are seeing multiple offers and bidding wars. The rental market is also busy as rentals are commanding double the prices they saw last year.
Gravenhurst Muskoka expert Realtor April Drane has this advice “Buyers who do not require financing as a condition are snapping up hot properties”. So get your ducks in a row before you start to avoid the disappointment of losing out on the perfect place.
